Biomedical Competitions

NCIIA organizes two annual biomedical engineering competitions for university students. The objectives of these competitions are to identify and recognize innovative, commercially promising medical devices and technologies developed by entrepreneurial student teams.

  • BMEidea competition: Open to all graduate and undergraduate student teams.
    • $500 stipend application deadline: Friday, November 5, 2010
    • BMEidea competition deadline: Friday, April 1, 2011

     

  •  BMEStart competition: Open to undergraduate student teams only.
    • BMEStart competition deadline: May, 2011. Details coming soon.

The ASME Innovation Showcase (IShow)

The ASME Innovation Showcase (IShow) is a national competition featuring the most innovative technologies in the engineering field at the baccalaureate level. IShow provides the full experience of technology product commercialization, bridging the gap between engineering school practicum and business school theory.
