A growing number of NCIIA's student grantees and innovators are going on to become social entrepreneurs. In her article in Good Magazine, Grants Manager Jennifer Keller Jackson talks about this trend, indicators for success, and what we can do to support these students.

Student teams participating in the 2010 March Madness for the Mind exhibition created short videos that tell the story of their innovation. These videos were open for public viewing and voting March 8-19, 2010 and over 3,000 votes were cast.

First place went to OsmoPure from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Watch the Video. The OsmoPure team won $800 to help advance the project.

The other two video competition finalists were:

• The Enhancing Bio-Morphological Helmet from Michigan Technological University Watch the video
• The Human-powered Nebulizer from Marquette University Watch the video
